let’s believe in ourselves a little more than we did before.

love a little more than we did before.

see things a little bit differently than before.

and discover the other 60-75% of our brain’s that haven’t been used yet.

Everyone is afraid, some more than others. Back in the day fear was a pure survival mechanism.

“sabor tooth tiger” - “oh shit, i’m afraid” - “i am so emotionally distraught i must do something now.” in this case fear was the thing that told us our survival was in jeopardy.

but now fear has become a whole part of the modern game and today i feel like talking about it.  Now when you think about fear how close to death/danger is that fear?  How real and/or immediate are the things we are afraid of in modern times?

Economy is fucked.

1.No jobs.

2.More debt.

3.find someone way to make money although it might not be ideal

4.live a lower caliber of living than before

5.OR fully depend on government assistance

6.OR embark in the black market (this gets a little shady)

8.hold tight till it blows over

9.prepare for total apocalypse/global warming then the real survival kicks in

10.terrorist

11.am i good enough

There is such a long grueling process to the actual survival meaning, food - shelter - water. I’d almost rather just face the immediate danger than sit in our self made limbo of worry and fear all the way to an end point that may or may not result in death.

I worry about how far we have gotten from our natural essence, all the structures and bureaucracies built in the name of development and freedom.  And yet when you look at it, it seems we are in  far more complicated and even dangerous situation before.  The danger now is not just physical but mental and social and institutional.

Then there is the multitude of coping mechanisms to compensate for the fear. Substance abuse, unhealthy relationships, incessant need for chaos, prescription drugs and prideful and self centered endeavors.

All of these behaviors are other parts of our nature but in the case of the sabor tooth tiger with the immediate death, who needs to cope with that? Either you lived or died and that was it. Now the fear has turned into this prolonged experience and coping along with its various modes of application now has a real home in human experience.

All these factors make it easy to ignore your true essence or perhaps ruin any chance of there being one again.  But if you are strong enough these obstacles become less of a necessity. you develop the strength to over come you fears without aid and ultimately find a genuine happiness and your true worth.

So in conclusion, fear is normal and okay. but what do you do when you’re afraid? do you even know when you’re afraid? and most importantly where has your dealings with fear gotten you in the past. Where would you like your approach to get you in the future? Figure out what that would involve and begin reforming your habits.  21 consecutive days to change your life.  All im sayin„,
